This is a hand-carved, obsidian blade from the land of the Maya.

Mayan & Aztec warriors used obsidian knives during combat as well as during ceremonies and rituals. Obsidian was known to be the sharpest material known to man - the warriors held their blades to the highest standard. The Eagle Warriors were considered one of the two groups of elite fighters in the Aztec empire. Their ferocity and leadership skills were unmatched, both in and off the battlefield. To them the eagle represents fearlessness, bravery and valor.
