June 2023 Astrology, Full Moon & Tarot

Enjoy this recording of Wisdom, Astrology, Tarot for June's Strawberry Moon June’s full Moon—typically the last full Moon of spring or the first of summer—has traditionally been called the Strawberry Moon. While strawberries certainly are a reddish-pink color and are roundish in shape, the origin of the name “Strawberry Moon” has nothing to do with the Moon’s hue or appearance, despite the evocative imagery (shown in the artist rendering below). A Moon usually appears reddish when it’s close to the horizon because the light rays must pass through the densest layers of atmosphere. This “Strawberry Moon” name has been used by Native American Algonquian tribes that live in the northeastern United States as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that are ready to be gathered. The Haida term Berries Ripen Moon reflects this as well. As flowers bloom and early fruit ripens, June is a time of great abundance for many. When Is the June Strawberry Moon in 2023? On the evening of Saturday, June 3—just after sunset—look towards the southeast to watch the full Moon rise gently above the horizon. There, it will appear large and golden-hued. June’s full Moon will reach peak illumination at 11:43 P.M. Eastern Time. What Sign Is the Strawberry Moon in May? June’s Strawberry Moon is Sagitarius 30°17’ . The full strawberry moon of June 2023 will be illuminated in the house of Sagittarius — the last fire sign of the zodiac ruled by the planet of adventure, Jupiter. This phenomenon ushers in a lot of promise astrologically. This mutable sun sign is all about travelling and exploration. Astrologers claim that the strawberry supermoon in 2023 will bring hope, positivity and the fruition of plans. All zodiacs will be optimistic to take on new conquests and courageously follow their goals. It’s lack of faith that makes people afraid of meeting challenges, and I believed in myself. – Muhammad Ali We shy away from challenges because we don’t believe in our abilities. Once you have faith in yourself, nothing can stop you. To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead you relax, and float. - Alan Watts Faith is about letting go to the flow of life. You don’t need to question every life decision every day. Trust your intuition, trust that a higher power is with you. What does the June full moon mean spiritually? It's a celebration of growth and connection to the body, to food, and to the pleasures of the earth.

Teacher, Student and Spirit

There is a unique and sacred relationship between spiritual teachers, students and spirit. This is a recorded webinar with Grandmother Suzanne and Niki Jaimes with your host Heather. Join the conversation, and explore this unique relationship. It can’t be emphasized enough how powerful of a relationship this can be, and like any powerful relationship, a lot of things can get stirred up and there can be a lot to navigate. Whether you are a shaman, curandera, curandero, spiritual teacher, healer, or other spiritual helper, you have as much to do and be conscious of in this relationship as the student. Being guided by spirit can also bring lots of emotions and feelings to navigate. Many of us are always students, some of us are just beginning our spiritual journey, and others are moving into new roles within our spiritual practice.  Let’s have a conversation about this sacred relationship, self-care, spiritual laws and protocols.  The spiritual student and teacher spiritual relationship is one of the most challenging, delicate and precarious relationships that we can encounter in our lifetime. Primarily, because it is not a normal relationship, as there is a huge power imbalance Depending on how advanced the teacher is, there is tremendous faith needed from both the student and sometimes from the teacher. A student needs to have faith that the teacher has something to teach you and that they have reached a certain spiritual level that they won’t take advantage of the power difference between you. And faith that as the student, you will follow the spiritual guidance and practices given to you by the teacher. How do we navigate this relationship ? How do we trust in our judgement ? How do we choose a spiritual teacher ?

March 2023 Astrology, Full Moon & Tarot

This is a monthly offering of the Astrology & Wisdom Circle recorded Sunday, May 5th - 12 Kame on the Sacred Mayan Calendar. We will have an in-depth conversation about Astrology with some Tarot to help guide us into March. She will be joined by her son Everest, his partner Mike & daughter Heather to talk about the astrological influences for March. According to Western astrology, the moon is often associated with feminine energy and is said to play a crucial role in a person’s fertility. While as humans, we are constantly negotiating the outer world and trying to co-exist in this universe, the moon depicts an inner world which is deeply personal to us. Therefore, its waning and waxing have positive and negative effects on our moods, decision-making and consequently, our lives. Flordemayo is a Curandera Espiritu, or a healer of the divine spirit. Being born under the sign of the seed, Flordemayo sees her role as a cosmic germinator through teaching, community, manifestation & development. Grandmother Flordemayo is having an upcoming surgery soon and appears at the beginning of the recording only. The full moon in March symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of summer. It gives a chance to reassess and reinvent and what’s more? The Worm Moon falls in the house of the diligent Virgo. It is the best time to organize your life and take measured decisions, as well as indulge in precision and perfection in all aspects of your life. You might feel a bit too self-critical around this time. March Full Moon, is a night of wonder and mysticism. The northern Native American tribes recognized this moon as the Full Crow Moon, the end of winter when the cawing of crows is nonstop. It is also called the Full Crust Moon due to the snow covers becoming crusted from falling by day and then freezing at night. The full moon is a time we feel the energy to express ourselves the most, solidify our relationships, discard the toxicity in our lives and make positive changes. When the temperature slowly starts to warm, and the ground begins to melt, the robins return, and earthworms appear, that’s when you know that March’s Full Moon will soon be here.

Crystal Skull Wisdom

Crystal skulls are becoming more popular lately. Perhaps you are considering the best way to use yours, to benefit you, or considering being a crystal skull carrier ? We will talk about what you can do to utilize them in your daily life and how to care for them, how to choose one, and how to use them in ceremony. Grandmother Flordemayo has been a skull carrier & ceremonialist for many decades. Each skull that has been adopted or in her collection has been part of many ceremonies with Flordemayo at The Path., & the crystal skulls have always played an important role in the 40 acres. “I believe that the skulls emit psychic energy, auras, and even sounds." Grandmother Flordemayo The Mayan day lord Kame is the lord of the west. Kame is in the shape of a crystal skull to show that beings have the intelligence of a human. However, tradition tells us the lords of the four directions descended as light beams - so we as human beings also hold the knowledge of the Stars. The Pleiades - or the human mind understands both the terrestrial and celestial. Crystal skulls can be used to see visions of the past, present, and future. Some legends and theories state that the original crystal skulls were not created by the hands of man at all, but may be of extraterrestrial origin. Some say that they may be the crystallized consciousness of advanced beings related to Atlantis, the Pleiades, or beyond. Our present society predominantly associates skulls with death and evil. However, many ancient societies are believed to have had the opposite association, where objects like the crystal skulls represent "life": the honoring of humanity in the flesh and the embodiment of consciousness. There are many who state that crystal skulls have healing properties, transmit energy, have the ability to convey information or are repositories of ancient wisdom like a Universal library. Crystals and gemstones have been used for healing, guidance and divination for thousands of years. Ancient cultures believed that crystals and gemstones help provide wisdom, guidance, healing and power. Ancient cultures were also aware that carving crystals into the shape of a human skull increased their power to affect healing and human consciousness. Crystal skulls are empowered by the natural healing properties inherent within different gemstones, minerals, and crystals which resonate at different frequencies of healing and consciousness.
