This beautiful image was created and inspired by a vision of Grandmother Flordemayo. She tuned into her Mayan heritage, with the perimeter being the sacred daylords and the four directions. Then, in the center is the holy Ceiba Tree that appeared in a dream. The ceiba was the most sacred tree for the ancient Maya.
According to the Maya, the four colors of corn (white, red, blue/black, and yellow) represent the four races of humanity. The four colors of corn also represent the sacred four elements (fire, Earth, air, and water). The four colors of corn also hold the essence of the four sacred directions.
