This small altar cloth comes to us from Mexico ... It was hand crafted & knit in honor of Dia de los Muertos.

Calaveras are the main icons & symbols of Day of the Dead. Often the skulls are made with smiles as to laugh at death & represent the belief that death is just a part of the life cycle.

Ofrendas are altars or shrines for the deceased made personally by their loved ones. These altars include pictures of those who passed as well as paper decorations, flowers, candles, & figurines. In a traditional ofrenda, the picture & personal items of the deceased are placed above or at the center of all of the offerings, & the decor is made up of bright vivid colors.

** Altar cloth can come in a variety of designs as photographed above, IF you have a preference, please leave a note detailing which color/desgin is wanted in the "Notes" box.
