October Full Moon Ritual

The October Full Moon, also known as the Hunter's Moon, will take place on October 20th. This full moon is in Aries and will be bringing an intense wave of energy to our lives. It is important to take this energy and manifest positive growth. Connecting with your inner self, especially your heart, will help you with decision-making during this time of transition. This is a journaling ritual that will help you decompress and set your intentions with yourself and your heart.

What You Will Need:

  • Smudge Stick (The 7 Chakra Smudge Stick is a good one for connecting with your heart), or any Aura cleansing tool you prefer.

  • Candle

  • Pen and Paper (Paper can be a journal or loose-leaf whatever you prefer)

  • Rose quartz crystal (optional) Stone of love, for self, others, and the Divine. Activates the heart chakra and clears the emotional body. Heals the heart of its wounds and reawakens trust. Calms the auric field.

Step 1:

Use your cleansing tool to clear your aura and the space around you for your ritual. Repeat to yourself "I am lifting any negativity or heavy feelings I may be having."

Step 2:

Once your space is cleansed, you can set up for your ritual by lighting your candle and getting your journal ready and to the side of your table, altar, or wherever you are doing your ritual.

Step 3:

Make sure you are in a comfortable position for your meditation. Gently start rubbing your heart center clockwise with your rose quartz crystal (or without if you don't have one) to start activating your energy flow. Do this for about 1-2 minutes.

Step 4:

Place your hands over your heart in a prayer position. Take 10 deep breaths while closing your eyes. While you do this, imagine your heart opening up.

Step 5:

Now that you are relaxed, set your intentions by asking yourself what are your heart's needs or desires? Then what does your heart need from you? Listen to what your body is telling you in this sacred moment.

Step 6:

Grab your pen and paper and begin to write down whatever messages your heart is telling you. You can write as much or as little as you would like.

Step 7:

Finish your ritual by meditating for one more minute once you are done journaling. You can keep your journal in a safe place, or burn the paper with your candle to let go.

Blessings in the Four Directions!
