The more you appreciate your meditation practice, rather than thinking it is something you are forced to do, the more likely you are to stick with it daily. There are many benefits of meditation and it is proven to reduce stress. Some other benefits of meditation include an increase in self-awareness, better stress management, and reducing negative emotions.
What You Will Need:
A meditation space. This can be anywhere that is a quiet place where you can remove yourself from the business of day-to-day life.
Open your practice with a gesture of gratitude. While you do this, light your candle. Look within yourself and focus on all of the blessings during this special moment.
Apply your meditation oil and take ten deep breaths. Then set your intention for your meditation. While you meditate, consider what you'd like to cultivate- self-kindness, curiosity, openness?
Once you set your intentions, take some time to sit quietly and reflect. I do this for about twenty to thirty minutes.
Close your ritual in appreciation.
