Welcome Gemini Season!

As the Sun transitions into the constellation of Gemini today, May 20th, we are invited to dance with the sacred winds of change. This is the season of air, of movement, of ideas taking flight, of the spoken word carrying prayers across the sky. In the tradition of many Indigenous cultures, the winds are alive — they are messengers of Spirit, whispering truths we may not hear unless we become still enough to listen.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet of messages. In this time, you may receive signs, dreams, or intuitive nudges. Pay attention to the little things: a feather on your path, a bird’s song, a chance meeting. Spirit speaks in many languages.

The Wisdom of the Twins

In this sacred time, we are encouraged to pause & feel the energy of the twin spirit — the symbol of Gemini. These twins remind us of duality: light & shadow, mind & heart, inner child & wise elder. There is medicine in holding both sides with gentleness. In this balance, we find clarity, & from clarity, we find direction.

The symbolism of the Twins is inspired by Castor & Pollux from Greek mythology. Castor & Pollux were born to different fathers but shared an inseparable bond. When Castor was mortally wounded, Pollux pleaded with Zeus to grant him immortality so they could remain together. Zeus transformed them into the constellation Gemini, where they watch over sailors & travelers as patron gods. Their story highlights the enduring bond of brotherhood & friendship, immortalized in the stars for eternity.

The Twins also remind us that we are never alone. For each of us walks with our spiritual twin — that divine part of us that sees with higher vision. Call upon this twin when you feel uncertain. Call upon your spirit guides, your ancestors, & the elemental forces to guide your steps.

The Element of Air

Air teaches us how to carry our words with intention. It reminds us that not all voices must be loud to be heard. Some wisdom travels in a whisper, in the hush of dawn, or in the soft voice of a grandmother’s prayer.
